USB Hacking

USB Hacking refers to the practice of utilizing a USB device to gain access or control over a computer system. It is a type of cyber attack which is becoming increasingly common due to the prevalence of USB devices in use today. A typical USB hack involves creating a custom USB device loaded with malware or spyware which is then introduced into a target system, either through social engineering or physical access.

One of the most famous examples of USB hacking was the Stuxnet worm which was used against the Iranian nuclear program. It is rumored to have been introduced via a USB device and then spread throughout the system, causing extensive damage.

To protect against USB hacking, it is important to limit the use of USB devices wherever possible, and to always exercise caution when plugging in unknown devices. Employing endpoint security software and using encryption can also help reduce the risk of a successful USB hack.
