Tetris Effect is a puzzle video game developed by Japanese game developer, Monstars Inc. and Resonair. The game was released in November 2018 for PlayStation 4 and later in 2019 for PC and Oculus Quest. The game is known for its unique visuals, sound effects and gameplay mechanics. Its name comes from the real-life phenomenon called “Tetris effect” which is a psychological condition that occurs when people devote so much time and attention to an activity that it begins to pattern their thoughts, mental images, and dreams even outside the context of the activity itself.
