IGF1

IGF1 stands for Insulin-like Growth Factor 1. It is a hormone similar in molecular structure to insulin. IGF1 plays a crucial role in growth and development during childhood and continues to have anabolic effects throughout life. It is primarily produced by the liver, although other tissues also produce it to some degree. IGF1 helps to regulate cell growth and division, making it important for maintaining proper tissue and organ function.
